Share Your World - Week 47

What are you grateful for in regard to:
Your home life?

I am truly grateful for the world’s bestest wife.  My child-bride Suzanne is an excellent cook.  She takes care of me.  She puts up with my foolishness and still shows me she loves me.  We have great kids who we get to Skype with from time to time.

Your family?

This kind of goes back to the first question.  We have two wonderful daughters who will be home with us for Thanksgiving.  Our youngest son is still overseas.  We don’t know when we will get to see him.  These three kids are the greatest.

Your blogging community?

We have met some great people out there in the blogosphere.  Many
The Kids Many Years Ago
have become great friends.

I try to follow everyone I can. BTW, if I have missed you, it is purely an oversight or I am having a problem finding out how to follow you.

I am thankful for each of my seven followers on this blog.

Judging from the stats, most people that visit the business blogs do not wish to follow the blog or comment.  However, they come to learn about business.

I am thankful for all the readers I have and the viewers I have on YouTube.

The YouTube watchers amaze me.  I can see what country they come from and what they watch.  I can’t see what any one individual watches.  But it amazes me how those from what we consider third world countries watch the business education videos.

A special thank you to all who read this.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please drop a comment and/or follow this channel.

Your city or immediate area in which you live?

It is very hard to say on that.  I really cannot think of a whole lot of good around here.  The river floods, the creeks rise. We have hurricanes and it is hot.  However, we do have some good friends that we met through one or the other of the convenience stores we worked at.

I am thankful for the two gangs.  Seriously, we learned after we stopped working for these two places that the two gangs actually protected us from harm.

The regional area in which you live?

We don’t have anything in the way of medical care in our town.  The hospital just closed.  However, one of the world’s leading medical centers is just up the road (60 miles) in Houston.
The country where you live?

I am proud to be an American.  The eagle may be flying low right now, but, we are still a great country with lots of great people.  Perhaps our leaders are not that wonderful.  But, we do have many great people working together to make America a great country.

You?

Well, I am part Irish.  This means that I can almost always make a short story long. I am glad that I am still on this side of the dirt.  One morning a few months ago, that wasn’t a sure thing.

I am thankful that I can still talk, although not as well as I used to.  I am thankful that I can still write, although not as well as before.
The conceited me wants to say that I am thankful for my charm, good looks, and great personality.  However, I won’t.  I am just too humble to do that.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

For last week, I am glad I am still here.  I am glad Suzanne and I have great kids.  I am glad I have to world’s best wife.  I am also glad she is such a great cook and baker.  The rest of you poor souls out there have to eat regular food.  My child-bride cooks the greatest food in the world and this week is Thanksgiving.  What could be better than that?

For this week right here, I am looking forward to getting our baby daughter off the island and listening to her tell us all about her life on the three hour ride back.

She inherited her gift of gab from me.  She has warned us that she will have a lot to say on the way back.

Thanks, Cee, for these questions.  It only took four pages to answer them. I must be slipping.

Everyone, have a great Thanksgiving.  We hope you all have a great holiday.

  1. I'm glad that you're still on this side of the dirt, too.
Too bad we can just go and get that girl now so we can get started with this whole Thanksgiving thing. :)

  2. Is it just me, or is this day creeping by painfully slow? We can leave now and wait on her door step. We can sleep in the car. We don't take up much space. Okay, I do, but that is beside the point.
