The fill-ins are:

1.     1. The first thing I check when I go online is my stats.

Since I have been studying business, mainly accounting and financial management, for many years, I live and breathe the statistics.  Although I only have 7 followers on my biggest blog, I watch all the numbers closely.  In the videos, I can see what age group is watching which videos the most.

I like to look to see who is watching which videos and try to see why those videos are getting chosen over all the other ones.

2. My signature dish is Taters O’Clendon. .

This is kind of a variation of Potatoes O’Brian.
I chop potatoes up into small cubes and deep fry them (what Southern Redneck doesn’t start out with deep fried everything?).

Then, I drain the potatoes and heat a VERY LARGE frying pan with oil in it.  I
add onions, bell peppers, pimentos, and a little garlic.  I fry these until the smoke alarm in the living room goes off.

Then, I put these in a colander to drain.  Sprinkle paprika on top and put away the fire extinguishers and serve.   Five pounds of this will serve most of the first responders sent to fight the stove fire.

3. My Halloween night is usually same-o, same-o

When we lived back in civilization, we never had one single trick or treater.  Just before Suzanne and I were married, we went to our soon-to-be first home and sat on the porch.  I was in my Western Auto uniform.  We figured that we would have hundreds of cute little trick-or- treaters.  We were well-known in the community and my parents often got several hundred trick or treaters (based upon the candy given out) each year.

Our new house was on the same street as my parents’ house.  Still, not one little goblin.

4. Trick or treaters  are usually very cute.

Back when we had the store, kids would come in and rather than say, “Trick or Treat”, some would say, “I want some candy.”  At least they were honest with it.

This coming Thursday, 3 November 2016, my beautiful child-bride Suzanne and I will celebrate our 32nd anniversary together.  Thanks for all the wonderful years we have spent together, Suzanne.  Zing! Zing!

    1. That is the good part, you let HIM make them. That way he works out some of the calories putting out the fires. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

    1. Thank you for dropping in and visiting. Thanks also for the congratulations. Congratulations to you and the Mr. for your long marriage as well. The recipe is great. I think the firefighters in the area look forward to it as much as we do. I think that is why they call us a two alarm fire whenever I cook. Have a great weekend and a happy Halloween.

    1. Yes, she was a very beautiful bride, and still is. The recipe is easy but takes a while. We usually stop by the fire extinguisher servicing company just before I make it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend and a safe Halloween.

  5. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. We use the smoke detector to let us know when our food is cooked too :) The potatoes sound good. Have a nice weekend!

    1. Thank you for dropping in and commenting. Yes, the smoke detector is a lot more accurate than the stove timer. How else would the first out unit know the potatoes are ready? Have a great weekend and a safe Halloween.

  6. Your fried potatoes sound pretty good to me, and I know Papa Bear would love them! LOL at feeding the firemen who show up. :-) I used to watch the stats on my blog religiously, then I decided it was more fun to do it just for fun. We don't get any trick-or-treaters either, I wish we did! Congratulations to you and Suzanne on celebrating such a long and happy marriage! It takes love and work to make that happen, and you two obviously have it figured out!

    1. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I am sure he would love the potatoes. I really like them and Suzanne seems to enjoy them, too. I watch the stats to see what people like. I write the blogs just to have fun and I make the videos because our youngest daughter asked me to record them so they would have them when I am gone. When I record, I am speaking to any future generations of our family who may wish to know what life was like.
