You will see the term Ceteris Paribus in science as well as in business. It is a Latin term which you will see sometimes when someone is giving an example of a process or theory. Basically, Ceteris Paribus means “All other things being equal.” More or less it would mean that one thing changes and all other things remain the same. An example would be we have seen an increase in sales. We are on track to break an all-time sales record. We should hit the $1 million mark by the end of the week Ceteris Paribus. That is, we should hit this goal if nothing else changes, if there are no surprises. |
