Rest In Peace Battly

Yesterday, 12 August 2016, our sweet little grand-dogger, Battly, took her trip to Rainbow Bridge.  She was overcome by the heat; she was just too fragile. We have air conditioning and had plenty of food and water out for her and her sister Petra.   We had two fans blowing, too.  But, the heat index just keeps rising and even the best of man-made equipment just could not keep up.

We brought the dogs inside years ago because Battly could not take the heat.

Battly is buried beside Shep the wonder dog now.  Shep was our oldest daughter's first dog.  Battly and Petra came to us as a package deal.  Battly was the oldest of the litter and Petra was the youngest.  Petra is the last remaining one from her litter.  Her litter-mates were all killed by cars or other accidents.

If you watch the video below, you will see Battly behaving well for the camera.  Rest In Peace, little grand-dogger.  Gindy loves you.

  1. Very nice video, I can see she was very sweet. I am so sorry for your loss. That is so sad that this dreadful heat caused this.
