Share Your World – 2016 Week 37
I have never owned a pet rock. Once, my parents brought me back a polished stone that had wiggly eyes glued on it. They had been to some convention and this seemed like the thing to get me. I had some petrified wood that sat on my dresser for years.
What is your greatest strength or weakness?
My greatest strength is my faith in God. After that, it would be my child-bride Suzanne. Above and beyond that would be my gift of blarney. I got a double dose of that.
My greatest weakness… I’ll have to think about that one.
What makes you feel grounded?
My child-bride Suzanne. She is always here for me, just like Papa Drac. She has helped me through countless problems. She has nursed me through amputations, strokes, major insulin reactions, some where I had no idea who I was or where I was. The only thing I could do was tell myself to listen to Suzanne.
Would you rather never be able to eat warm food or never be able to eat cold food?
I loves myself some salad, I love potato salad. I love deviled eggs. I love cold chicken; in fact, I prefer it that way. Good ol’ samiches are pretty good, too. Blue Bell ice cream is cold. So, I would say, I could give up warm food, but probably could not give up cold food. Maybe I could eat barbeque cold if I had to.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for another stroke-free week and another week on this side
of the dirt. I am thankful that I got an email from our Marine and that he is okay and bored.
There really is nothing on the boards this week. Navy boy is underway; Marine Boy is underway. Daughters are both busy as always. Grand-dog is happy to sit in my lap whenever she can, pretty much same-o same-o. I guess looking forward to Hot dog Monday and Taco Tuesday is about all that stands out.
We live a simple life. I do look forward to the Wednesday Hodgepodge, Throwback Thursday, the Friday Fill-Ins, Not-So-Wordless Wednesday, and, of course, Share Your World. These pretty much define our week.
I am looking forward to November 3, 2016. That is our 32nd wedding anniversary. We will roll out How to Manage Your Monkey that day. This is probably appropriate because Suzanne has been managing a monkey for over 32 years now.
Well, catch you on the B Side. Drop us a comment and mention it if you understand the reference to the B side.

ReplyDeleteCold BBQ is good.
Southerners could eat a football if there was enough barbecue sauce on it. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteI would love something made out of petrified wood. Thanks David for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen anything made out of it in a long time. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
