Share Your World - Week 43

h
What are you really glad you did yesterday?

I don’t really have an answer to this one.  However, if I had to say, it would be I am glad I worked on and completed the video, Judge in the Hurricane.

Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?

This is an easy one.  I much prefer a one story house.  I can’t walk so,
stairs are not possible.  Back when I could walk, I would always say as we were moving out of a two story apartment that, if we ever move into another one, all the furniture stays downstairs.   I have lugged too much stuff up stairs in my life.  If I can get around having to do it, I will not do it again.

When we go to move out of this house, which is one level, I plan to put all the real valuables in a trailer and put the rest of the stuff outside.  I will let the neighbors think it is an honor system yard sale.  What ever doesn’t get taken will be piled high and set on fire.  I am tired of having “stuff".
Have you done something you truly want to do today?

We just got accepted into the Biltmore Estate affiliate program.  This made me think about how much I wish we were back home in South Carolina and could see the beautiful leaves.  I would love to be on the Biltmore Estate and see the leaves and fall colors.

What plans did you have as a teenager that didn’t happen? Are you happy it didn’t work out that way?

I wanted to go to tech school and become a sound engineer.  My father would not hear of it.  I was a very good Emergency Medical Technician and was given the opportunity to take paramedic training free.  My father would not hear of it.

I did become a sound engineer at the University of South Carolina.  It cost four times as much and took twice as long.  In the end, I have never used that degree.  The only time I did any sound engineering was when I worked the sound board at church.

No, I am not happy it did not work out.  The videos I make are kind of like getting to do what I wanted to do back then.  If you listen to the videos, you will see that the audio is pretty darn good.

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would marry Suzanne in 1983 as soon as she graduated high school.  I would take sound engineering and go to work for a radio station.   I would not listen to my father.  I would do what I wanted to do.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I have my child bride Suzanne.  I am grateful she is here to help me.  I am grateful our baby child found her rented textbook.  I am grateful that things appear to be going well for our oldest daughter.
I am grateful that I made it a whole week and did not crack my head open trying to walk in this cast.  I am grateful that we have two new subscribers on the YouTube Channel.  I am grateful for all my followers.  I am grateful that when they cut the cast off everything looked okay.  Not too grateful to be back in the thing.  I am grateful we found a third party candidate that is an excellent choice.

The rest of this week, I look forward to sitting in my chair and waiting for God’s inspiration with the next few lessons for How to Manage Your Monkey.

Have a great week.  Tomorrow is Taco Tuesday and Tuesdays with Gindy.

    1. Thanks for stopping in and commenting. What is really odd is that he always wanted to be an auctioneer. His uncle was a very good one. His mother and uncle talked him out of it.
