Book Review: Get Life Right

Get Life Right is an interesting book to read.  The author David A. Dunn is 70+ years old and he is basically sharing the things it took him a life-time to learn.  This is a good thing for young people starting out to learn early.

The book is broken up into short sections designed to be read in about ten minutes.  This is probably the best way to read the book, in ten minute stretches.  That way the information the reader has just read has time to percolate in their mind.

The book does not have any earth-shattering revelations.  Instead, the author helps remind us of things we already know or should know. 

The author offers advice for friendship, finance, spending time, parenting, and so forth.  One could look at this as a stream of unrelated tips.  However, what we actually see here is a culmination of the life-lessons this active senior has learned over his lifetime.

This book would make a great gift for a young person just getting started in their life.  If you have a person in your life who is a bright high school senior, this may well be the best gift you could give them.  It would even be helpful for us older people.
