We were offered the Zomei Tripod at a substantial discount so that we could put it through its paces and see what it could do.
We just have to say that this is a great tripod. We have not been able to use it as a monopod since the leg that is supposed to be removed to use as a monopod is on there very tightly.
We measured the folded tripod and found it to be approximately 18 ½ when folded. We had no problem putting it back in its bag.
In our businesses, McClendon Photography and McClendon Studios, we are constantly using multiple tripods. Some are good and some are not so good.
The Zomei Tripod is one of the best we have used. All tripods have some problems. For the Zomei Tripod, the only problems we found is that it is a little quirky getting the mounting plate that holds the camera on the tripod and the other reported issue about not being able to get the leg that is used for the monopod off the tripod.
If you don’t need to use your tripod as a monopod, this is a great tripod. It is lightweight
You can even convert the tripod to mount the camera upside down. This means you can get close-up shots of things very low to the ground and still use this tripod.
