Here are the fill-ins:

1. We do not have a landline.

We do not need one.  Years ago, we had the whole nine yards from AT&T all in one bundle.  Then, we needed to change our phone number.  Big mistake.  When we changed the phone number, the account was no longer linked to Dishnetwork.  Dishnetwork employees could not help us with problems because they still showed us as linked to AT&T.  AT&T could not help us because we were not really linked.  The ONLY way to pay the bill was by mailing a check.

Then, we had AT&T landline, wireless, and Internet.  We decided to do away with the landline to save money.  BIG mistake.

AT&T wireless and AT&T say they are not the same company.  Therefore, when the bills were combined in a package, AT&T wireless is billing a month behind.

So, when we got rid of the landline, all of a sudden we had a $1,500 wireless bill due.  We got rid of AT&T wireless and went with AT&T Gophone.  We learned that we save over $300 a month by using the prepaid instead of the contract service.

2. My most treasured piece of jewelry is my dad’s CPC pins.

The only way to truly understand how AWESOME these pins are to me is to see the video.  I don’t really wear jewelry.

3. This year, I have learned how odd life is around here without any cats.

This past Wednesday, Little Bit went to Rainbow Bridge.  She was our last cat.  Over this past year, we have lost several of our cats.  We have not been catless since 1996.  We still have our grand-dogger and a frog.

Over this past year since my strokes, Suzanne and I have learned a new normal.  The nearest hospital is over 30 miles away and we have to rely on EMS to get us to the hospital.  May 26 will be the one year anniversary for my first stroke.  We are praying that I can make it past the one year mark.

4. I would like to see below  before this year is over.

This is really a long list.  I would love for Suzanne and I to be able to go someplace where she can take some very awesome pictures.  There really isn’t much around this place worth taking pictures of.

I would love to kill Sir Hiss.   I would love for Suzanne and I to go back to South Carolina for a visit.  We have many graves to find again and take pictures of.  We have  a few relatives we would like to visit.

I would love to hit the $100 mark on YouTube by the end of the year as well  The money is climbing, slowly.  Many people watch (11,595 views so far) but few let the ads play. I would love to do more with C. Moore Hamlet in the videos.

You may want to watch our video Bloody Worms all the way to the end to see him at his best. This video is about 4 minutes 20 seconds long, but I think it is cute and, yes, it is a true story.

There are many other things I would love to do.  One thing would be to get caught up on our reading.  I don’t know if that could happen.  There is a large box of books waiting to be read and reviewed with more on the way.  We love to read so this is great.

Well, folks, we hope you have a great weekend.

If you would like for me to pray for you, please drop me an e-mail by clicking prayer.

  1. It is really going to be weird, this life without cats.
I wish that we could go somewhere photo-worthy, too, though I am enjoying very much trying to photograph the birdies in our backyard. :)
    Love you, my Zing!

    1. I love you, too, my Zing. Now, if we could just keep the neighbor's cat away from the birdies...

  2. Thank you for these great answers. I certainly hope you never have another stroke. I didn't realize how far away the nearest hospital is from you. I hope you get to accomplish everything on your list this year. I an sorry about Lil Bit and your other losses, it is hard to lose a beloved pet.

    1. Yes, the loss of Little Bit ended an era. We intend to have no more pets. It is just too painful when they go. Have a good weekend.

  3. we all only use pre-paid phones. I had a similar thing happen to me through Verizon, so I switched to Cricket Unlimited, and we are all very happy with the service. With four smartphones in one household, saving a little bit on phone bill is essential.

    Blessings!

    1. I agree. The contract people really sock it to you. They bait you with a "Free" phone which you end up paying big bucks for.

  4. Is there any such thing as being caught up on your reading?

My condolences on the loss of your cat. It's so hard when we lose our pets.

    1. Cats are truly a part of the family. Our house seems to be the kitty Kool-aid house. You remember the old Kool-aid commercials where there was one house on the street that the kids would play the most. Well, our house has always been the one place on the street where the kitties always go. There used to be a possum around here that thought she was a cat. She would belly up to the cats' food bowl and eat right along with them. We have not seen her in a while. Our daughter named her Heather.

  6. We were dogless for almost one year, 2012-2013. Polly, our Coydog, passed at 17. I had not been without a dog for 43 years! It was lonely, even with three cats. I truly need cats and dogs to complete my home.
I have to ask...who is Sir Hiss?

    1. We are catless now. We still have our grand-dogger, a frog, and a snake. Sir Hiss is the snake. When Xerxes was dying, he was frightened by Sir Hiss. He/she is a chicken snake (rat snake). I have fought with him several times. He has struck at me and I was able to block him. He always gets away. We don't believe him to be venomous. Have a great week.
