How To Manage Your Monkey: Book Review: Finding Your Money’s Greater Purpose: How to Make Your Legacy Count

We were sent a review copy of Finding Your Money’s Greater Purpose: How to Make Your Legacy Count written by Patrick Renn for the purpose of writing an unbiased review.

If you could give money away and have more to spend after you give it away, would you do it?  There is a saying in most Christian churches that says, “You can’t outgive God.”  I challenge you to see if that is true.

Patrick Renn has written a very insightful and very readable account of how one can give money away to charitable organizations and actually have more money in the bargain.  The only loser is the IRS. Nothing really bad about that, huh?

The natural thing to say is, “Yeah, I would give money if I had a lot more of it!”  That seems logical.  However, Mr. Renn tells the story of Oseola McCarty, who worked hand washing clothes for others and giving of her very meager income.  She was able to give a substantial sum. You should read Finding Your Money’s Greater Purpose to find out what she did and how she did it.

Whether you have great riches or you are down on this level of beans and rice poor, you can give.  Not only will you not miss it, you can’t out give God.

We give Finding Your Money’s Greater Purpose all five stars.  It is a short 114 pages, but it delivers what you need to know to open a dialogue with your financial professional.  This would make a great gift for someone you love.
