2017 September's Where I Come From Challenge Day 25

This challenge is based on Kenny Chesney's song "Back Where I Come From".  Suzanne over at PS-Annie! and McClendon villa has included home-and hometown-related questions to round out our 30 days of posts.

Come on and join in.  It will be a blast.
Today’s question is:

25.     What is your hometown known for? In other words, what makes it special?

Each year we have a fine harvest of rednecks.  Really I don’t know that it is known for much of anything.  Back when I lived there, we had a camaraderie that was great. The people were always there for one another.

Each year we had a Christmas parade  The Crescent High School Marching Tiger Band was the host band.  That was a lot of fun.

An great organization known as RevIva hosted an Oktoberfest every year.  It was always fun, too.

The town is also part of Tree City USA.
