1. My guiding word for 2018 is carry on.
I know that is two words, but I never was one to follow the rules.
Our doctor told us on 11 December we were probably looking at 6 days
incarceration at the pen. Well, now it looks like a total of 42 days at
one facility or another. We can get through this. We have to carry
on. The shortest way out is through.
2. A house is not a home without love.
Without love, it is just sharing space. Pets are an important
part of many peoples’ lives. We have a grand-dogger and a frog that
adopted us.
3. I look forward to getting well this year.
Yes, this sounds like a broken record. Right now, it is our lives
24/7. We aren’t allowed to sleep here for more than an hour stretch. Even though we have a “do not disturb from
Midnight to 6am” sign, provided by the hospital, we still have to get up for
labs sometimes.
4. I really need to go home, because this place is getting to us.
Some of
the doctors are getting the flu, even though they had to have the shot. This flu vaccine is not all that it is supposed
to be.
We have
had some good experiences, but we have also had some bad ones, too. We will blog about them soon, I think.
Have a
great January 8. We won’t be celebrating
it in as grand a fashion as we had hoped, but you can bet we will celebrate that
day.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I know it isn't easy to do from the hospital. I like your choice of words "carry on" is a good choice. I am praying for you to get well soon- and go home.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen. You are right, it is difficult to blog from here at the prison. It would not be so bad if the firewall didn't keep us from most sites. My mom is in the hospital I started out at. Have a great week.
DeleteCarry on works just fine. A couple of years ago, mine was "Persevere". Same idea. I agree with you on the principal. I agree with #2, as well. Namasté.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for being so late. One step forward, three back. Sick dog, Kenzie, is better. But, we had some very bad news about Clyde. However, we are determined to not let it steal joy. Clyde is all about living life with joy. Animals remind me of the little things like that. Sometimes, I need a good cry, but, like Clyde, "I got dis." Hugs.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It seems like there is always something going on. The shortest way out is through.
