Good Redneck, You Get A Snack.

Snack
Evidently the people here at Cambridge Health and Rehab Center in Richmond, Texas, thought I was a good redneck. They gave me a snack of 1/2  peanut butter and jelly sandwich, juice, and animal crackers.

We are still hanging in here. We are trying to figure out how to buy me a knee scooter and wheelchair.

It seems Medicare will not buy wheelchairs anymore, they only rent them for people.  This makes sense for those who only need them for a short time, like with broken legs, etc.

However, for someone like me who will need one for life, it does not make sense.  The odd thing is, they pay up to $600 per month to rent a basic wheelchair, but can purchase one new from Amazon for less than $200.

I don't qualify for a wheelchair through Medicare because I CAN TECHNICALLY walk but am not supposed to. I guess I am too fat for my foot.

If you would like for me to pray for you, please drop me an e-mail by clicking prayer.

  1. Check your local senior centers and craigslist. A lot of times people donate them to the senior centers when someone passes. Enjoy that snack :)
