Our daughter Maggie has a new blog for her furbaby Martha. You can find it at: https://marthasdailymews.wordpress.com/
Here are the fill-ins:
1. My favorite scent is there are so many.
I think fresh-baked bread would be at the top of the list. Back in the 1980s, Suz and I had three newspaper routes. Every morning we would pull into the Kroger bakery to deliver two newspapers. The small was amazing. Suzanne makes homemade bread and it is an absolutely awesome smell.
2. I hope to finish the book Security Analysis this weekend.
This book is over seven hundred pages long. I am reading it and also reading others along and along. It is an ILL that is due back at the local library Monday. I am on page 500 so, I still have a little more reading to do.
3. Supper time is music to my ears.
Way back in 1996 when we were very new to computers, we made a recording of our little son Davey saying, “Supper time, supper time, poo poo chops.” The recording was lost several years back due to re-formatting and changing computers. We still remember it though.
4. Home is where I keep my shoes.
I know, we all know the saying “Home is where I hang my hat.” Yesterday I was at the doctor’s office and an elderly man, who used to drill sulphur wells all over the world, told me he was never in any one place very long. He went on to say that, for him, home was where he keeps his shoes. I thought that was pretty good.
Have a great week, y’all.

ReplyDeleteFresh bread baking is a delightful scent!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Sorry the video of your son was lost, that must have been cute. I want some fresh bread now :) Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Freshly baked bread, yes, that is a perfect answer. And I really like the sentiment you shared in #4, and the little story to go with it. That is such a simple yet also profound thought on what makes somewhere home. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWe felines do not understand the concept of shoes. Our Female Human has so many shoes, all colors, high heels, boots, sandals, and in many colors. What we don't understand is why she takes her shoes off immediately when she gets home. You humans are complex creatures!
