Our daughter Maggie has a new blog for her furbaby Martha. You can find it at: https://marthasdailymews.wordpress.com/
Here are the fill-ins:
I was doing good in math until they added the alphabet. 2+2= a brown shoe. Not my bag.
2. An extracurricular activity I participated in was band.
I played the trumpet and the Sousaphone. I had a great time. Couldn’t play a note, but I had fun.
3. I want to learn more about psychology.
I enjoy reading about NLP, Hypnosis, Subliminal learning, etc. When our oldest son was in elementary school, he had ADHD. It was pretty well advanced. We took him to the world famous Montgomery Center. When the doctor who was in charge of the ADHD area saw Jared, he said he would have to rewrite part of his recent research because Jared disproved it.
4. It takes courage to proclaim your Christianity in this world.
Actually, I think think this is true in most religions. We have friends who are devout Muslims. They offer to pray for us and we will pray for them. We also have Hindu friends. Most of us agree that we worship the same God, just in different ways. We have some very powerful discussions. Not in an argumentative kind of way, but in a way that reveals more and more of how awesome God is. We serve a risen saviour!

The alphabet has absolutely NO place in math. It just confuses everything...especially me. :) I agree with your answer to #4, but it is one of those things we need to do.
ReplyDeleteI love you, my Zing.
I agree. Alphabet should stay with reading and numbers should stay with math. Never the twain shall meet. I love you, my Zing!
DeleteThank you for participating in the Friendly Fill-Ins! Most of my school friends were in band. I love music and enjoy playing the piano, but I think I just lacked the confidence to play in the school band. My sister earned her bachelor's degree in psychology. She imparts some very intriguing knowledge on me sometimes. And I know what you mean with #4. I am Roman Catholic, one of my neighbors is Muslim, I have multiple neighbors and some family who are Baptist, and that's just a couple of examples. Religious tolerance is so crucial, as people approach faith in their own ways. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteIf we eliminated everyone from our band that did not have confidence, it would have been a very small band. When I was a senior, there was no end of the freshman boys coming to me with one crisis or another. I was not an officer of the band but, because I was outspoken (to say the least), these younger one's came to me.
DeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. Psychology is very interesting. I agree with #4, I think it is great that you are able to be friends with folks of different faiths and discuss religion. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo far, I have yet to find anyone so dogmatic in their religion that they can't see that we are all under the same God, just differently. Have a blessed week.
DeleteYou are so right about it being difficult to proclaim your faith these days. It’s sad that is has turned that way.
ReplyDeleteYou could not play a note but had fun in band, i cannot sing a note but when i am where no one will hear me i sing good and loud anyway!
It is true I could not play a note. I was in good company though. Most of the band was that way, except the WADs. Our band sounded somewhat like the Mayberry Band on The Andy Griffith Show. We were bad, but we made up for it by being loud. I am pretty sure the guy who taught me tuba could only read one note. That is the only one he taught me.
DeleteOoohhh...I hated math in school. I was horrible at it. Wouldn't you know my career ended up involving math. LOL You never know :)
