Here are the fill-ins:
You may or may not remember that last year at this time I was in the hospital. This is not unusual. Very often around this time of year I am in the hospital. So far, so good this year. Knock on wood.
This year we are having chicken and trying to make most of our Christmas fare vegetables. Not too long ago we tried ground beef in tacos. The taste was so odd. It was very greasy. We are used to eating meat substitutes now. Mostly we eat fish and/or chicken when we do eat animal protein.
We are empty nesters for the most part. It is not likely that we will see any of our children except for the one child we still have with us. It is a blessing to have her with us this year. She isn’t always here. Last year, Suzanne and I were together and we skyped with this child. We heard nothing from our other children at Christmas last year. See number one above.
It would be nice to get all this government red tape over and done with and get Suzanne’s disability approved. We hope to have me back to functional health soon so we can get back to making the kitchen videos. I am slowly getting back to making reviews on the books. So far this year, I am ahead of my goal for reading. I am at 221. That doesn’t take into account some books that weren’t listed on Goodreads. I know I could add books to the Goodreads database if I wanted to. Sometimes I do if the book was worth it.
Merry Christmas, y’all.

I hope that you stay out of the hospital this Christmas and all the Christmases to come (and all the other days, for that matter!). I love you, my Zing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except the part of not seeing the kids for Christmas. That is sad that they don't all make an effort to Skype at least. I am glad you are not in the hospital and that you and Suzanne are home together. I hope you have a blessed Christmas and a happy, HEALTHY new year!
ReplyDeleteI hope you stay healthy too. TW just got over strep and Pop bronchitis. The peeps only eat fish and chicken too. I hope your God hears your prayers this Christmas. Happy Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I'm sorry I'm visiting so late. I hope your Christmas was healthy, merry, bright, and blessed. Prayers to you and your family this Christmas season, and in 2019!
