1. Pokemon Go...your thoughts? Are you playing? Do you even know what it is?
I have vaguely heard of it. Actually, I heard about it from my 77-year-old mother. I don’t intend to play it. Now, if they were to give us a trillion dollars or something for playing it, maybe I would play it.

2. What was something you collected as a child? Do you still have that collection? If you're a parent what's something your own children collected? Have you ever camped out, stood in a crazy long queue, or paid a ridiculous sum for a 'collectible'?
I really did not collect anything as a child. My mother and my sister both collected dolls and still do. From time to time, if I find a cool doll in a thrift store I will spend $10-15 for it. That is how we got Kissy.
3. "Collect moments, not things"...tell us about a moment you've added to your collection this summer.
3. "Collect moments, not things"...tell us about a moment you've added to your collection this summer.
Our lives here are pretty much same-o same-o. The only really extraordinary thing that happened this summer technically happened in spring. That is when I had the three strokes. Other than that, our lives are pretty much like the movie Groundhog Day. Same-o thing happens over and over.
4. What's something collecting dust in your home right now? Any plans to do something about it?
Our treadmill and Melman. I used to walk about four miles per day on the treadmill. Then, I had to have my great toe amputated. I have not been on the treadmill since. Melman is the power tower. That is a place for doing pullups. I weigh too much now to use it.
5. A favorite song relating to time?
I know it sounds weird, but for each of our children I have made up a song based upon a song from our past. The song that goes "Oh what a night, late December back in '63. What a very special time for me" became the song for our oldest daughter. "Oh, what a night. Mid December back in '90, what a very special time for me. Little Laynie, what a night."
6. What's been your most frightening or your most interesting encounter with wildlife?

Somewhere in this blasted house is a more than 4 foot long chicken snake. We have named him Sir Hiss. He is a beautiful snake. He is not venomous. He scared Xerxes when he was so sick. I promised Xerxes I would kill Sir Hiss. Sir Hiss and I have fought countless battles, usually in the dining room. He has to die.
7. On July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong set his foot down on the moon. If you could travel to the moon would you go? Why or why not?
If God had intended for me to go to the moon, He would have put me on the moon. I have no intention of leaving the ground. Not in a rocket, not in a plane. I have no intention of flying anywhere. However, God has a sense of humor. I have learned to never say never.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
It has been an interesting week. My friend Eric, who owns Eric’s Landscaping, and his team of landscapers came and trimmed back the trees away from the house. It is hurricane season and the very last thing we want is for a high wind to blow a tree through the roof.
Also, we have learned that if we can get to 1,000 subscribers on YouTube that YouTube will run promotions for us. Therefore, we have set ourselves a Great Big Hairy Audacious Goal of reaching 1,000 subscribers by August 31. Will you help us?
