Cell Phones

Dear Friends

Thank you for bearing with me as I try to get these blogs back on track and get to posting more regularly. I suffer with allergies twice a year, in the Fall and in the Spring. I cough my head off so much that on several occasions doctors have demanded I have a chest x-ray.

Right now the pollen here in Gulf Coast Texas is immense. Our black cat is actually sort of a yellow-green due to all the pollen covering him.

Things are improving. I have been working out some and have seen some great improvement in my diabetes. I can actually feel my feet, which is great for someone who could barely walk about a year ago. I no longer have to have the brace on my leg to walk.

The other day I noticed a man walking around the Wal-Mart, apparently talking to himself. The ear bud for his phone was very small. I happened to think, just a few years ago if people witnessed someone walking around talking to someone who was not there, we would have given them a ride to a special place where they all wear white and everyone talks in hushed tones. Today someone could be walking around talking to themselves and no one would pay them any attention.

A while back I was working at a convenience store when a man I knew came in and was talking quietly; it seemed like to himself because he was talking about the things he needed to get. As he approached the counter he said, “I love you.” I looked up and said, “I hope you are talking on a cell phone.” We both got a great kick out of this.

I hope you have a great day.
