A Follow Up to Friday 56 22 July 2016

As I stated in the post for Friday 56, 22 July 2016, I have been sort of an amateur researcher in the field of learning.  I started working towards a DBA, doctorate of business administration with a concentration in corporate learning.  I stopped due to health reasons.

During the course of my research, I found research that showed that listening to baroque music was found to alter one’s brain waves to a beta level which made studying more effective.

To me this was amazing.  All the years of high school and undergraduate work could have been much more profitable, knowledge wise, if I had just listened to the right music.

When I was in high school, I would study with the radio on.  Had I known that listening to instrumental music would have boosted my retention back then, I probably still would have been listening to pop music.  But, in college years I was struggling and could have benefited from such knowledge.

Back then, I was a media arts major and, therefore, had access to top of the line recording facilities.  Had I known then what I know now, I could have produced sound tracks that would have tripled my retention.

My oldest son was diagnosed as being ADHD.  He was having trouble with his grades in school even though he studied and was on the “miracle drug” Ritalin.

I made a copy of a subliminal recording tape from Potentials Unlimited on memory. Then, I recorded his spelling words several times on the tape after the subliminal recording. I recorded the subliminal tape again after the spelling words.  His grades, IN ALL SUBJECTS, went from 0s to 100s, overnight.

This was amazing to me.  If you have a child who is having problems with staying on task, you might want to try the subliminal teaching.  Of course, you will want to consult with your child’s doctors and other professionals before you try this.

By-the-way, our oldest daughter just opened an online store.  Check it out here.
