Share Your World Week 30

Do you prefer a bath or shower?

I prefer a good, hot shower.  However, for the last several years all I have been able to get is a sponge bath.  That is because I have a chronic foot ulcer that won’t go way.  Also, since I have had three strokes, I cannot stand to take one.

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose?  Why?

This one is easy.  If I could do it online, I would choose Amazon style=.  If it had to be in the brick and mortar world, I would choose Walmart.  The why is because they both sell a wide variety of things.  I could get groceries and clothes.  I could also get tools and electronics from either one.

If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be?

I think I would choose 22.  If I could be 22 again, that would be great.  I
was that age when Suzanne and I got married.  Life was carefree then.  We had very few bills and really nothing to tie us down.  If I could choose to live the month of November 1984 over and over, just like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, that would be great.  Only this time, we would take control of the wedding.

List at least five movies that cheer you up.

Top of the list would be Hotel Transylvania 2.  We watch it almost every day.  Next in line, would be movies like It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, Darby O’Gill and the Little People, Quiet Man, Courageous, Fireproof, HellFighters, McClintock, For Richer For Poorer, Gone With the Wind.  There are so many others.

Endless Love was the movie that Suzanne and I went to see on our first date.  It is special because of that, but it was not a terrific movie.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Again, we have had another same-o same-o week.  Next Saturday, the 6th, we get to go get our youngest daughter from school.  That will be great.  I am looking forward to that.  We still don’t know when we will see our youngest son, the Marine, again.  We have our oldest daughter home with us for the summer, so that is great.

Life is short.  Tell everyone you love that you love them.  You never know when you will see them again.

  1. I adored McClintock. I used to watch it over and over when I was young and it was on tv late. :D

    1. My favorite part of the movie is the fight scene at the mine, where The Indian chief says "Great party, but no whiskey, we go home." I like to say that when we are leaving a friend's place. We don't drink, so they know we are not leaving because there isn't any alcohol. They know it is just me being goofy. Anyone that knows me knows I don't have a serious bone in my body.
