Share Your World Week 31.

What is your favorite part of the town/city you live in?  And in what Country do you live?

Well, it is really hard to have a favorite part of Wharton, Texas, USA.  There is nothing here.  Our hospital has closed.  Our Walmart is in jeopardy of closing.  I guess if I had to pick a part, I would say it is the river. However, the river floods so often around here that it is a problem, too.
Would you rather wear clown shoes every day or a clown wig every day?

I am going to go with the wig.  I have so much trouble walking nowadays that it might be better.   The wig would be hot and that's not a good thing here on the Gulf Coast this time of year.
Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?

Neither, it sits on the counter beside the toilet.  Back when we kept it on the holder, it went over.  That is the way the print patterns are printed.  I really do not care one way or the other.  It still gets used the same.
What do you do to make a living or during the day?  If you are retired, what mostly occupies your day? Or if you are a student, what are you studying?

I am retired from the financial services sector.  I had to retire because I became legally blind due to my diabetes.  When my place of employment found out they would have to pay for services to keep me employed, they found ways to encourage me to leave.
These days I spend my time blogging, recording YouTube videos, editing them, and working on our upcoming course How to Manage Your Monkey. That is not a typo; it is a play on the words how to manage your money.
In our lives, we have numerous problems. One problem seems to help exacerbate other problems.  They grow and grow. Once our lives get out of sync with things, it is a vicious cycle.  We are designing our course to try to help people with these cycles.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for my beautiful child-bride Suzanne.  I am grateful to be on this side of the dirt.  I am grateful that we have our oldest daughter home for a while.  I am grateful for every bite of food that goes into my mouth, and there seems to be a lot of them.

I am also grateful that last week we had one day with over 300 page views, which may not seem like much to some of you, but to me it is a big deal.  That is our biggest day ever!

I am grateful for each and every one of our YouTube subscribers and all of the followers of this blog.  Thanks.

This week we get to get our baby daughter off the island.  She will be working celebrity security for an event in Houston.   She is a highly requested celebrity handler because she does not, as she calls it, “Fan Girl” over these celebrities.

One asked her why this was so, and she told him, “My job is to get you where you need to be, when you need to be there. I have no time to think about who you are or anything else.  The success of this event and your safety depend, in part, on me doing my job to the best of my ability. You can give me your autograph later.”

He has requested her for all future events in the area.   I am looking forward to seeing her.

Our Marine is being put on a ship in a couple of weeks.  Please keep him in your prayers.  We cannot tell you the name of the ship or where it is going, but he needs your prayers.

  1. Nice to learn more about you. Our hospital wants to close too, but I don't think our Walmart ever will. Have a great time with your daughter being home.

    1. According to the popular talk around here, our Walmart has the highest shrinkage of any other store in the company. That is the amount of merchandise that leaves the store, one way or another, without being paid for. This past year was the first year in the history of the store that it turned a profit. So, they transferred the manager.
