The fill-in-the-blanks:
11.     The last movie I saw at the theater was

.The Lion King in 3-D. Our kids wanted to go as part of the Houston Brony Group.  We went along and saw the movie.  It was unreal that a movie for five people would cost $74.

2. The title of my autobiography would be My life, A redneck tells all. Let’s face it, in real life this blog is very close to my autobiography.  I learned a long time ago not to try to impress people.  If I am just myself, those who are my friends accept me for me. I am crude, rude, and socially unacceptable.  I have been scared to death, but did my job anyway.  I have had to learn to roll with the punches.

3. I would love to learn Lots of things.  I have studied learning and hypnosis.  I have studied business and psychology. It would be cool if I could really learn to talk to animals.  I would love to learn Bengali.  I do not want to speak it, just understand it better.  Many of my friends are from Bangladesh and Pakistan.  If I could speak their languages, I could understand them better.

4. I am glad that I learned to read_, because if one can read, one can get tons of information and pretty much educate themselves.  When I was growing up, my family had a Western Auto Store.  There were countless people who would bring their mail for my father to read and explain it to them.  Sometimes, they would come in the store when he was not there.  I was 12 or so and adults would ask me if I could read.  When I told them yes, they would ask me to explain a letter to them.  From time to time, my father would delegate reading to me when he had more customers than he could handle.  We had a handyman who could not read but wanted to very much.  If I would offer to help him, he would say he was fine.  He was a nice man, but proud.

  2. How good of you and your father to help customers and friends with their mail. It's a very fulfilling thing to teach people to read, i wish the mechanic had let you do that.

    1. There are a good many people out there still who cannot read. I haven't run into people needing to have their mail read to them in a long time. I am sure there are still some out there.

  3. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am sure there are youtube videos to teach you to speak another language, you could learn from that. I have never seen Bambi or The Lion King because I was told a parent dies- I know it is just a cartoon, but I cry easily. Have a nice weekend!

    1. I can understand avoiding sad movies. I tell my kids not to ask me to watch sad movies. I am told to stay away from the movie UP. It seems many movies have a sad part to them. I like happy movies. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  4. The Lion King in 3D would be awesome! I didn't know it came out in 3D! I also love that your kids were part of the Brony Group - that would make my My Little Pony fan happy. ;)

Your autobiography would be a fun read! And you and my hubby are similar in the "crude, rude, and socially unacceptable" mode - but that's what people love about him. ;)

Learning a different language is something I want to do, too - I love your reasoning behind it!

Reading is an essential skill, that's for sure - it's crazy how many people don't know how! Kinda cool you were your dad's helper in the reading department! :)

    1. Lion King in 3-D was awesome. Your MLP child may like to know that there is a decent sized Brony group in the Marines. Our Marine loves it. He even has MLP sheets and stickers, as do both our girls. Our Navy boy is not a Brony.

  5. HA - I would definitely read your book!! And honestly, political correctness has gone too far these days. I'm afraid to open my mouth and say anything most of the time, and that's really no way to live. We all just want to be our authentic selves.

    1. Thanks. If I were a celebrity, I would be in the news all the time having said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Suzanne and I once had a great U.S. History teacher, not at the same time, who would say, "Eyes calls 'em likes eyes sees 'em. That is the only way to be."

  6. Hmm...A Redneck Tells All? Really? All? that doesn't seem right. *wink* Great title, though.
Reading has been a salvation for me, too. Truly. Reading and critters got mt through a very hard childhood and maintained me through a sad adulthood.
Thank you for joining us for the Fill-Ins. Hugs!

    1. Maybe not everything. This blog and my videos are pretty much what the book would look like. Reading is great. As far as critters are concerned, this month marks the one year mark for when Xerxes got his diagnosis. Until him, I had never made future plans that included a pet. Critters are nice. We have had so many pass through that we find it difficult to have more. We have three outside kitties that we feed. Inside, we have one grand-dogger. It is just too difficult to say goodbye.
