September 19 Somethin’ Challenge Day 10
Are you trying to remember the 1970s and 80s when reading these challenge questions? I know I am. Come on and relive those past days. Remember when you could not wait to get older? If you are like me, you miss those days when all you had to worry about is getting your homework and chores done. Now, there are bills and other responsibilities.
In the song he says, “Now I got a mortgage and an SUV." Well, we don’t have a mortgage or an SUV, but we still have some major responsibilities. What about you? Do you have responsibilities now that you never would have dreamed of then?
Today’s question is:
What fashion did you like the most, and the least, from your younger years?
I never really noticed fashions much. However, after the movie Urban Cowboy, everybody started wearing blue jeans with cowboy boots. And most of them had the jeans tucked inside the top of the boots. I challenge you to find any real cowboy, or cowgirl for that matter, who wears their jeans tucked inside their boots.
I never got into that, or any fashion trend, for that matter. I did like it when sailor suits
for girls were popular. I bought one for Suzanne, complete with the hat. Her mother washed the hat and it was never the same again. Oh well. C’est la vie.

When I graduated high school, parachute pants were just coming into style. The thing about those was they made a lot of noise when people walked by.
See you again tomorrow.
They were especially loud and zippy on those of us with thunder thighs. We probably could have created lightning to go with that thunder!
ReplyDeleteYou did not have thunder thighs. You were at best 99 pounds at the time. No lightning, not sparks, just ZING!
DeleteI hated parachute pants.
ReplyDeleteBut, they provided so much entertainment. I remember laughing at the guys who wore them. Usually they thought they were stylin'.
