Well, it is day eleven in this September 19 Somethin’ Challenge. Swing over to Suzanne’s place and get the directions. Then come back and comment here in the comment box below.
Today we have question number 11:
What was your favorite music genre when you were young and on what format did you first listen to it?
I have always liked a very eclectic mix. When I was young, it was probably POP. I also listed to rock back then. I was more of an album cut fan than a singles fan. I still am. I very often prefer the B side of a single to the A side.
When I was an older teenager, WKRP in Cincinnati was popular. I had dreamed of opening my own radio station. I could kind of picture myself as Dr. Johnny Fever, without the mind altering substances, of course.
When I first started driving, way back in 1977, the car I had only had an AM radio, and not a good one at that. I could hear only one station, WANS AM. It was sort of a mix of Black Gospel and Soul music.
When I finally got a good stereo, I listened to the FM side of WANS. It was top 40s rock. I can listen to just about anything.
