September 19 Somethin’ Challenge Day 25

Wow, here we are on day 25.  Is this meme bringing back old memories?  Are they good ones?  If you have not joined in yet, you can still do so.  Just hop over to see Suzanne at her place.  She will fix you up with a big ol' glass of sweet tea.  Then, just take a right and you will come back here.  If you take a left, you will reach the interstate.

Here is today’s question:

If you could go back in time to your childhood, would you? What would you want to change, if anything?

If I could go back to my teenage years, I would go back to the McDuffie High football game where Suzanne’s friend asked me a question and I was a goofball and gave a stupid answer.  When the goofball answer got back to Suzanne, it hurt her pretty badly.  She did not get the whole comment.

Suzanne and I were engaged for a long time and, if I could go back to that point, I would have married her shortly after I asked her.  I would not have waited for my father to propose, which he did.

Other than that, if I could go back in time to when I was eleven and start eating a raw food diet, maybe I could have avoided becoming a diabetic.  Who knows?

    1. Yes, it was out of the blue. He evidently had thought about it for some time.

  2. Too bad we can't get a do-over. So many things would have turned out differently and for the better of all involved.

    1. A do over would be nice. I would love to have passed up Spartanburg and Columbia and settled down in Iva about 1980. You could have finished Crescent and I could have gone to work at the store full time.
