Well here we are on day 27. It has been a fun adventure. Looking back at a time so long ago has been fun. What about you, are you having fun with it?
I hope you are joining in and having fun.
Drop by my beautiful child-bride Suzanne’s place and say hello. Have fun.

Here is today’s question:
What do you remember the most from the year that you turned 19? What was going on in your life back then?
Let’s see. My 19th birthday was the first time I ever got drunk. Two friends came up from the Starr-Iva area to help me celebrate. One of them was mixing drinks for us. They decided they knew how to make a screwdriver.
The first one was about half orange juice and half vodka. Wow that was strong. The second one was about ¼ orange juice, ¾ vodka, and a little cherry juice. I don’t remember anything after that.
The next day, I started throwing up. I threw up everything I had eaten the night before and then things from days before that. Finally, I threw up something that looked like something I would want to use in later life, if I ever wanted to have kids.
Then, I threw up some more. After that, my friends left. I was only able to eat Cream of Wheat for a few days.
My nineteenth year was also the year I wrote Suzanne and she and I started dating. This
year was a lot of fun in my life. Our first official date was on her 16th birthday. Before that, she and I went to church and a few other places together, but we could not officially date until she was 16.

My 19th year was also the year I met the Sisterhood. There are three rules in life a man needs to know:
- First, never play leapfrog with elephants.
- Second, don’t pet a tiger unless his tail is wagging.
- Third, never, under any circumstances, mess with the Sisterhood.
They are watching you, you know. :)
ReplyDeleteWatching and waiting for us guys to step out of line. Then, WHAM, just like a spider.
DeleteSounds like a busy year. We don't have a Sisterhood around here, I have never had a group of girl friends.
ReplyDeleteIt was very busy. Girls are different than boys. If a male likes another man, they are friends. If he dislikes the other man, they are enemies and never the twain shall meet.
DeleteFemales can fight against one another all day long. But, when another female enters the scene and tries to take the man of a female in the group, even if they don't like her, they band together tighter than a pair of catalog shoes two sizes too small.
