September 19 Somethin’ Challenge Day 9

Well, here we are all the way up to day 9 of the challenge.  Are you playing along? Swing by Suzanne’s place and find out how to play.  Then come back here and comment in the comment box below.

Today’s question is:

What was your favorite celebrity hairstyle when you were a teenager? Did you imitate their hairstyle?

I did not have a favorite.  We made fun of Conway Twitty’s hair.  Back then, if you were a
David on Square in Anderson 1980-somethin'
male, if you got any hairstyle other than a close cut, conservative style, you were ridiculed and probably beat up.

Some white guys got afros back then, but I never did.  No, I never copied any celebrity when it comes to hair or anything else.

All the girls wanted Farrah Fawcett hairdos.  There was a lot of big hair back then and I am sure the wig stores did a jam up business.

See you here tomorrow.

  1. I remember lots of girls had Farrah Fawcett hair.

    1. That's true and many of those girls thought they WERE Farrah Fawcett in that hair. Many thought that the hair was all it took to look just like her.

  2. I didn't like it when Conway got the curly perm. I thought it looked funny, sissy even. I was used to his usual hair and sideburns, like my daddy had. :)

    1. We did make fun of his hair doo. He was supposed to be a manly man. He was not supposed to be a woman with a perm.
