The fill-in-the-blanks:
1 . It is good to have a spare jar of Duke’s Mayonnaise.
Obviously, we always need a spare tire. We also should have a spare dollar or two hanging around just in case we want to go to the donut shop and don’t want to by six donuts so we can use credit/debit.
The best things to have on hand are a small air compressor with a chuck to inflate tires, a 100’ extension cord, a GOOD set of jumper cables and, of course, a roll of heavy duty Duct Tape.
I also don’t understand why our video Handcuff Your Kids is so popular. It is the only video we have that has been watched in every country that we get a report for on YouTube. If you have any ideas, please feel free to share them with me.

3. The spookiest thing that ever happened to me was right after my father died. Suzanne, Jared, and I drove to the cemetery where Suzanne’s Aunt Mae and Aunt Mae’s parents are buried.

Not long before Papa Bruce died, Suzanne and I had gone to see one of the more recent Night of the Living Dead type of movies. In this one, the rain on a cemetery was a key factor in the dead waking up.
A light rain started, it was night when we arrived. Suzanne and I got out and started looking for the grave. We came across a grave where you could see the impression of the top of a vault through the grass over the grave. This was too much for us. We got back in the truck.
We started out of the cemetery. About the time we reached the entrance, what appeared to be an unmarked police car pulled into the entrance. I shifted the truck up and hauled out. I was not going to stop for any of this. In the movie, zombies were driving around in police cars.
I have actually lived in houses that felt very much like they were haunted so, that isn’t too spooky.
Well, folks, today is the day we post our special 200th video. We hope you will watch it and celebrate with us. It is a milestone for us and we would like all of our friends to watch and give us feedback on what we have done so far. Any polite suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all of you who stop by and comment. Have a great weekend.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. That cemetery story is spooky. Those items you listed are all great to have on hand. Congratulations on your 200th video- that is a lot of videos. I am going to watch it,but I can't right now,I will comment on it later today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and commenting. I think that visit cured me from ever being in a graveyard at night. I don't know how many times a good set of jumper cables saved our bacon or allowed us to save the bacon of a friend. A good air compressor is a way to avoid problems, too.
DeleteHave a great weekend.
Ouch- his poor hand, that is a lot of forks. Great job on your 200th video.
ReplyDeleteThank you. When our good friend and former youth director had some heart problems, it reminded me of the old puppet character we created based on him. I think we have found a couple of things that will take our videos to the next level of popularity. We hope to mix up a few old stories like that with a few other things to make for a great channel.
DeleteThanks for watching.
Duke's mayo is the best! I don't get the Pokeman Go thing either. I have never watched a zombie movie and plan to keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and thanks for the comment. Yes, when you get to heaven and walk up to the tomato sandwich table, there will be large jars of Duke's Mayonnaise. The tomatoes will be homegrown in the South and the bread will be fresh and homemade.
DeleteI have never had Duke's. Hellmann's is my favourite mayo. I don't get Pokeman Go, either. It seems society has become rather immature on many levels.
ReplyDeleteCreepy story! Crybaby Bridge is found in many areas. Even still, I just believe that some of these stories have facts. This world is full of unexplained places and things. You need to capture a video of Suze telling the story!
Hugs to you both. Annie at ~McGuffy's Reader~
There are still some third world places, like above the Mason Dixon line, where they don't have Duke's Mayonnaise. They are deprived, of course. Hellman's would do as a good second place. As far as Suz getting in front of the camera, it ain't happening. When we taught Sunday School and Training Union classes for kids, I would do the talking and she would do the book work. She is a behind-the-scenes kind of person. Me, I could talk to a cornstalk and talk its ears off.
DeleteThat's a good one for #1! Also, yes, on #2. I don't understand why Pokeman Go is so popular either. Congrats on your 200th video!
ReplyDeleteHello. Thanks for stopping by and thank you for the congratulations. It does seem that people have lost their minds over this Pokeman thing. Have a great weekend.
DeleteGreat answers. I don't get Pokeman either. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by. Thank you also for commenting. I wish I had thought of the whole Pokeman concept. You have a great weekend, too.
