Ultimate Reminders for College Students by Gina DeLapa

The book Ultimate Reminders for College Students is a quick read, but should probably be taken one or two at a time.  The author claims to be a Christian.  However, there are some words that might not be appropriate to the Christian lifestyle.  Actually, there is only one but it is repeated a few times.  Sometimes it is spelled out and sometimes it is written with a few placeholders to let us know the meaning (Maybe rated PG).

I found the book to be entertaining and it would most likely have come in handy had I read it back in the 1980s when I first started college.  There are some bits of wisdom that would have been helpful to know.

Getting to know your professors early and paying close attention to the syllabus are two helpful suggestions that I wish someone had told me way back when  There are a few others.

Ultimate Reminders for College Students can be mildly funny and entertaining.  I would suggest that the reader take time to read it several times if they are getting ready to start college.

One thing the book did not suggest, but probably should have, is for the potential college student to set up a budget and live by it.  Also, the student should avoid those tables that are set up on campus from time-to-time where companies sign students up for credit cards.

This book would make a great gift for graduating high school students.  It offers some good advice and would be a very helpful book to read from time-to-time while in college.

    1. It would be a good book to give seniors. I would not recommend that it be one of the books churches often give their seniors. Some of the language is rated PG. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a Merry Christmas.
