Ultimate Reminders for Everyday Life by Gina DeLapa

We were sent a copy of this book to review without cost or obligation.  Ultimate Reminders for Everyday Life purports to give us little thoughts to help us through life’s struggles.

For the most part, this is a good read. The problem I see with the book is the use of several slang words. DeLapa describes herself as a Coach and is supposed to be a professional.

Much of the tone of the book could be compared to advice given by a junior high school student.

The advice in the book includes instructions on how to pronounce certain words and some suggestions regarding using the term “Merry Christmas.”

Putting all political correctness aside, I fully intend to say Merry Christmas whenever I feel prompted to.  Happy Holidays and Holiday Tree are not terms I can come to grips with.  It seemed that this advice was out of place in this book.

Much of the advice in this book could be helpful.  However, the junior high language takes away from the credibility of the advice giver.

Overall, this book probably rates about a 3 on the 1 to 5 scale.  It would not be on any list of recommended reading I would give someone.

    1. We Christians have been pushed around too long. Walmart has learned this and now employees go out of their way to say "Merry Christmas". They even have a cashier walking around giving kids candy canes and saying "Merry Christmas." That is great. Have a great weekend and a Merry Christmas.
