Tuesdays with Gindy. Daddy Fingers.

One day, my friend U. J. was getting his youngest daughter Molly ready to go out.  He had her sitting on the edge of the couch while he struggled to get her shoes on her.

During the course of all this, Molly held up two of her fingers and said “Daddy, look”.  U. J. was struggling desperately with Molly's shoes, so he said, “Yes, baby, those are your fingers,” and continued trying to get the toddler’s shoes on.

Again, Molly held up her fingers and said, “Daddy, look.”  U. J. said, “Yes, baby, those are your cute little fingers,” and continued getting Little Molly ready to go.

Again, Molly held up her fingers and said, “Daddy, look!”  U. J.  looked at the two fingers and stuck them in his mouth and said, “Daddy’s going to eat your fingers up, yum yum yum.”

Molly looked at her fingers and held them up to U. J.  again and began to cry.  She sobbed and said, “Where’s my booger?” And that is how little Molly got the nickname "Booger".
