1. The first thing I think about in the morning is going to the bathroom.
To quote Aunt Bee from the Andy Griffith Show, “We ain’t spring chickens anymore.” Having to go more often is just a part of getting older.
2. The last thing I think about before sleep is _I wish this was that easy.
While trying to go to sleep, I often have ten thousand things running through my mind, things like great ideas for blog posts. It would be great if they would stay in my mind until I could write them down.
I also have ideas for business combinations that make great sense to me. Too bad we don’t have the money to make them happen. I also think a great deal about the businesses of some of our friends and how could we make it easier on our friends.
3. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s mail.
We don’t know how we did it, but somehow people keep contacting us for reviews on all kinds of products. We have a to read pile that gets bigger each day. We have been sent tuna and a tripod, two sets of headphones, a mouse, mousepad, a portable charger, and more. It is great. If we could just find a way to make it actually pay us something, we would be set.
But, it is enjoyable trying these products. So far, we actually like everything that has been sent to us, other than a few of the books. For those books, we call ’em like we see ’em.
If we could just figure out what we did to get on these lists, we would try to duplicate it and do more.
4. I am so pleased with the people at Houston Eye Associates.
As anyone who reads Suzanne’s blogs could tell, she was a nervous wreck about the impending eye surgery. For now, the cataracts aren’t ripe yet. This means that the doctor will watch the progression of her cataracts to see when it is time to do the surgery.
Dr. Dhir (pronounced deer) and his staff could not have been nicer or more professional. They could tell Suzanne was nervous and they took the time to reassure us and explain how everything will go. This was a great load off of our minds.
As you may know, Suzanne is our family’s only driver. Between the two of us there is only one eye that is not legally blind. Her eyes are important to us.
Have a great week. BTW for those of you who are looking for ways to make a little extra money, check out the video below.

ReplyDeleteI love you, my Zing!
Yes, they do. And fairly often at that.
DeleteWhat a blessing to have so many products given you to review! My prayers are with you on eye issues, my Sweetie's eye troubles would fill a book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting. We have no idea how they found us. We are glad they did. Have a great weekend.
DeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You should keep a notebook and pen by the bed to write down any ideas you get- or a voice recorder.
ReplyDeleteI am glad the eye Dr. visit went well for Susan. Also glad you are getting lots of free stuff.I get up 3 or 4 times a night to go to the bathroom. Have a great weekend!
Thanks. Suzanne and I are glad it went well, too. We have a small voice recorder right beside the bed. But, just like dreams, ideas disappear from your head when you try to speak them. Have a great day.
DeleteThat is really great about Suzanne's doctor and staff being so nice and professional and that the surgery is delayed for a while. I agree with Aunt Bee!
ReplyDeleteThe staff at Houston Eye Associates were very good to us. Have a great day.
DeleteWhen your mind starts racing at night, talk to God about it. He will calm the seas. I often have insomnia, but He helps me. Always. I am happy to hear about Suz's eyes. They may never get worse. I mentioned to her that Medicare does cover cataracts, treatment and surgery. That is a good thing, too. God will watch over her and you, too.
ReplyDeleteI often enjoy the ideas I get. I just don't get to sleep sometimes because of them. The good thing is that most of the time we have nowhere to go and nothing to do, so it really does not matter when I get to sleep. Thanks. Have a great day.
DeleteI so know what you mean about #1, but it's not only in the morning for me...it's all night.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I hear you. I have worn a path in the floor from the bed to the bathroom. At least it is not far.
DeleteQuite a few people shared your thought about the first Fill-in... coffee first was big too! I am with you on #2! I am so happy for Suzanne and you that the surgery was postponed.
ReplyDeleteThanks. We were happy with the eye doctor visit, too. We don't drink much coffee here. Usually I just pick up a cup out somewhere. We have a friend that has a convenience store who always tries to give us a cup of coffee if he still has it made.
DeleteLOve your fill in answers! I always have too much running through my mind before I sleep too--and glad to hear things seem to be going well for Suzanne
ReplyDeleteI just wish my mind had as many good thoughts when I wasn't trying to sleep. We were so pleased with the results at the doctor's office. We will follow up in October. Have a great week.
