2017 September's Where I Come From Challenge Day 19

This challenge is based on Kenny Chesney's song "Back Where I Come From".

Suzanne over at PS-Annie! and McClendon villa has included home-and hometown-related questions to round out our 30 days of posts.
Come on and join in.  It will be a blast.
Today’s question is:

19.  Did you have any pets in your childhood home? If so, please tell me about them. If you have a photograph of any of your childhood pets, please share.

I have no pictures.  My first pet was Blackie.  He was a faithful dog who was always by my side.  He would wade into hell with a gasoline collar if he thought I needed him to.   He was just a mutt, but that is the best kind of dog there is. He got cancer and had to be put to sleep.

Later we had Tippy,  She had been Granny-for-Short’s dog.  Later, she came to live with us.  She looked like a smaller version of Blackie.  She was hit by a car.
There were many others.

Today, we have a grand-dogger.  She are more than we can take care of.
