This meme is called 2017 September's Where I Come From Challenge
This challenge is based on Kenny Chesney's song "Back Where I Come From".
Suzanne over at PS-Annie! and McClendon villa has included home-and hometown-related questions to round out our 30 days of posts.
Come on and join in. It will be a blast.
Today’s question is:
4. What were your hobbies as you were growing up?
I loved to read. I also worked in my family’s Western Auto store. It was work, but it was fun. I taught myself to play chess using the World Book Encyclopedia. I loved to play chess, but my game has drastically diminished. I never was all that good at it.
I also liked to ride my bike and, at age 15, I joined the Iva Rescue Squad. Then, taking first aid courses and other courses became one of my hobbies.
I guess my one true hobby was working at the store. It was loads of fun. We and our customers were really like one big family.

I think you're great at chess. You always beat me. Of course, that part is easy when the rules change depending on whose turn it is. haha
ReplyDeleteLove you, my Zing. :)
You are so cute, my Zing! You are a challenge to me. I love you, my Zing!
DeleteI have never learned to play chess, I should. The store sounds like it was a fun place.
ReplyDeleteThe store was a lot of fun. It was like it was our home and we had a lot of friends stop by for a visit each day.
