September Where I Come From Challenge

Were there a lot of churches in your hometown? What about where you live now?

Back home, there are a lot of churches.  I think there are more there per square mile than there are here.  But, there are lots of them out here. Back home, I have several friends who have gone into the ministry.  I was their practice heathen.  Church is different here.  It just does not feel like church to me.

We have visited many churches out here.  They do church differently than we did back home.  Suzanne was raised Holiness, I was raised Southern Baptist.  It is hard to find any churches here that fit either of those molds.

Most churches here are very tiny.  We visited one for a while that had only 8 members.  Back home, a church was considered small with 100 members.

  1. 8 does sound like a small church, but there are some like that around here. And then there are the Catholic churches with over a thousand members.

    1. 8 is small. Our church back home has dropped to around 30. Have a great week.
