Here are the fill-ins:

1. The best part of where I live is that Suzanne lives  there.

It is hot, it is humid, it is on the Gulf Coast where all the storms want to visit.  But, as long as Suzanne is with me, wherever we live is home.

We have a nice breezeway we can sit in and watch nature.  We have a couple of old broken kitchen chairs and a table Suzanne bought years ago surplus from a kindergarten program at our church.   It is really great.  We like it. As long as we don’t have anywhere we have to go, we are happy.

2. The worst part of where I live is we have neighbors that smoke.

They have gotten a little better about this. Also, city ordinance limits the number of pets to a maximum of 4.  This is a combination of dogs and cats.  Pigs are not allowed in the city.  However, we have neighbors who have over 15 from time to time.  Animal control comes and hauls them off and then the number increases again. The city even arranged for free spaying and neutering.  But, they did not show up at the clinic.

3. If we had good health and enough money, Suzanne and I would get a basic class-c RV and drive around the country.

Suzanne and I would visit the Graves of the Glorious Dead, take pictures of everything, and blog about it all. If we had satellite internet, we may never be seen by anyone again, except on the web.

4. My favorite article of cold weather clothing is Suzanne.

Right now it is extremely cold here (53).  I am bundled up in my shorts and T-shirt.

Years ago, back in 1993 actually, our friend, Rev. Eddie Bledsoe, gave me a winter coat out of some articles of winter wear that had been donated to him.  I have worn that coat over the years and it still gives great service.  It doubles as a raincoat, too. Suzanne knitted me a scarf and it usually lives in the pocket of that coat, when not in use.

It really does not get extremely cold here in Wharton, Texas, most of the time.  We have had a freeze or two.  It snowed back in 2004 on Christmas Day.  It has snowed once or twice since then.  Earlier this year it snowed but it melted before it hit the ground.  We could see it in the air and on the windshield of the car, but no accumulation.  The great blizzard of 2017 lasted about 15 minutes.  Later, in February, it was back up to 100+.

Our winter this year lasted about three days. Then, the Valentine’s Day tornados hit.

Have a blessed week.

  2. It amazes me that anyone smokes, the cost being so high. Your coat sounds perfect for you! I hope you have a wonderful week. Stay warm!

  3. Thank you for participating, great answers. You and Suzanne are such an amazing couple , your answer for #1 was sweet. We are going to have a low of 8 degrees tonight, but no complaints here- I love the cold. I hope you and Suzanne can travel by RV someday. Have a nice weekend!
