We are just about ready to kick off the 14th annual Lone Star Christmas event in Grapevine, Texas.

We are just about ready to kick off the 14th annual Lone Star Christmas event in Grapevine, Texas.

Chances are good you don’t remember many of the Christmas presents you received as a child.  But, chances are equally good that you DO remember those family get-togethers.

So, why waste your money on that next greatest video game for your child?  It will probably be obsolete before he gets it opened.

Special memories are never obsolete.  You and your family can make those special Christmas memories at the Gaylord Texan Resort Lone Star Christmas this year.

Texans never do anything halfway.  This is the state where bar BQ is almost a religion and it is not unusual for a person to spend $100,000 on a grill to compete in bar BQ cookoffs.

When Texans have a Christmas event, they go all out there, too.

At Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas, they go all out!

There you will find:

  • 2 million holiday lights decorating the resort’s indoor atriums
  • 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice for ICE! featuring ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Sponsored by Pepsi and Lexus
  • 2 million pounds of real Texas snow for a two-story tall, 12-lane snow tubing hill
  • A 6,000-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink
  • A 54-foot-tall Christmas tree adorning the center atrium
  • Magical miniature train sets throughout the property
  • 25-foot-tall Nutcrackers overlooking joyful families
  • 2,300 decorated wreaths, 5,600 feet of garland, and 15,000 festive ornaments
  • 5 Ice Slides
  • 14,000 Square Foot “North Pole”.
  • A Build A Bear Scavenger Hunt

There is so much more to the 14th Annual Lone Star Christmas.  The event kicks off November 10, 2017 and runs through January 1, 2018.  Check out our post How Do Real Texans Celebrate Christmas? for more information.

Pack your FujiFilm Instax camera, grab a Pepsi, and head over to Grapevine, Texas.  It is a lot closer than the North Pole.
