1. I would like to ask God why Jesus had to suffer and die?
The simple answer to that is, of course, to save us of our very many sins. But then I want to know why was it necessary for Him to die? Could He have found a different way? This shows us how deep His love is for us.
2 My favorite fast food restaurant is Burger King.
I loves me some fast food. In fact, the faster the better. But, the taste at Burger King far surpasses any of the other places.
3. If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would be no one.
I have no desire to go to a concert with thousands of screaming fans. I hate crowds. I hate noise. Maybe if Hammie were in concert, I would go see him. But, I am his gindy and I would have to go.
4. My Winter pastime is usually the same as my summer ones, because, with very few brief exceptions, I have not been outside all winter long.
We have been stuck inside one hospital or another since 11 December 2017. Before that, we were in the hospital three times per week. Now, we are stuck in a nursing home. There is nothing good one can say about a nursing home.
The food here is cold. The portions are small. The walls are plain. At least they have WiFi that allows us to connect the all-in-one computer to the internet. We did not have that at the last hospital and did not try it at the first.
One bad thing about a nursing home is that it is noisy. When you walk in, you see lonesome people everywhere looking for someone, who never comes. Praise God Suzanne stays with me as much as she can. I could not make it without her.
When we finally got out of the nursing home the last time, I said to my friend Jerry that I had never been to prison but I imagined that a nursing home was very close to being in prison. He said he had been in both and that the nursing home is worse.
Well, people, we have about 20 more days of captivity. I won’t necessarily be well by then but that is all Medicare will pay for. After that, it is back home to Wharton.

I am sorry you are now at the nursing home. I am praying you will be healed for when you go home. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I love BK whopper juniors and their mozarella sticks. I like the breakfast food there too- I am hungry now.
ReplyDeleteSorry to make you hungry. We stay hungry here. The food portions they call large portions are still very small. Have a blessed week.
DeleteUnfortunately, nursing homes are a necessary evil. I used to work in homes (when I was young). It is not pleasant. loved the residents and am still inspired by them. Elderly have a special place in my heart. That being said, I have also been a resident of nursing homes for health issues. I am sorry that you are dealing with that. I pray that you are getting better. It sounds like you have avoided surgery, which is good. Prayers continue.
ReplyDeleteThe health care system is definitely messed up, as Hammie would say. Insurance will pay for room and board at a nursing home but will not pay $50 per day for home health to come to the house to give me the same exact meds I am getting here. It is like being penny wise and pound foolish. Have a blessed week.
