Many of you have heard how I, David E. McClendon Sr. have been in the hospital, and now nursing home, since 11 December 2017. I had an operation on my left foot.  There is an ulcer that has been there for over 20 years.  We get it healed and it opens back up.

The only way to reduce the chance of going back down the same road again is to get the weight off of it completely.  The only way to do that is with a knee scooter and a wheelchair. We also need to purchase another wedge.

The problem is that since I can technically still walk, Medicare won’t pay for it.  Therefore, the only way to get one is to self-pay.  We don’t have the financial resources to do this so, we have started this GoFundMe.

We estimate that with taxes and the GoFundMe fees that it will take about $400. We appreciate any donations.  Thank You.
