The Questions and the Answers
1. Are you currently operating at 100% capacity? If not, what % are you? What's keeping you there?
Right now, I think both Suzanne and I are operating in the zero percent or less category. There has just been so much lately that has caused us all manner of emotions.
Our youngest daughter is standing in the need of serious prayer.
2. Have you done your taxes? Planned/booked a summer holiday? Thought about or started your 'spring cleaning'? Besides what's listed here, tell us one task that needs doing before spring rolls around.
I prepare about five tax returns every year. I have three done with a few more to go. I actually look forward to tax time. We don’t have the money for a holiday. Any money we would have had was eaten up by what took place in question 1.
3. What's a favorite food from your part of the country?
BBQ. I actually prefer it Upstate South Carolina style. Here people really take their BBQ seriously. Some people have grills that run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The ONLY thing that professional BBQ masters seem to agree on is that it must be slow roasted. Anyone who says they are going to BBQ a steak around here would be laughed at. You don’t BBQ steak or hamburgers because you cook them relatively fast.
4. This isn't a leap year, but let's run with it anyway...look before you leap, a leap of faith, grow by leaps and bounds, leap to conclusions, leap at the opportunity...which phrase might best be applied to your life currently (or recently)? Explain.
I think leap of faith is about as good as it gets. Right now, faith is the only thing keeping us going.
5. As the month draws to a close list five fun and/or fabulous things (large or small) you noticed or experienced in February.
We spent all but the first three days of February in major crisis mode. However, in March we should get to see bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes and Indian Blankets. These are great Texas Wildflowers.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Spend time with your kids. Keep in touch whenever possible. You never know what tomorrow may bring. Please keep us in your prayers.
