Most of our readers are serious cat fans. Many of them would read just about anything that included cats. Hobo Kitty would probably be right up their alley.
However, this fictional account of the exploits of a woman, who is seeking to find herself, borders more on fantasy than fiction.
If one is willing to overlook many timeline inconsistencies and the wrong use of many words, then you might enjoy Hobo Kitty. If you feel that a fictional account that is supposedly placed in the present should at least be reasonably possible, then you might not enjoy Hobo Kitty.
The book really could use a proofreader since there are many occasions where it appears the author edited her work and forgot to remove an extra word or two.
The author could really use some help coming up with names for her characters. Sometimes she points out the comical nature of the character’s name. Other times, the reader must wonder if the names came out of a junior high school since they border on ludacris and unacceptable in polite society.
Five Star Review |
Overall, we would give Hobo Kitty five stars. With a little editing and a little more creative character names, the book would be better.
They say truth is stranger than fiction. In one episode of Andy Griffith they kept saying, “If you were to write this into a play, nobody would believe it.” That is where we are with Hobo Kitty. Things that take place in this book really could happen. However, if they truly did happen, no one would believe it.
