Word High July for 23 July 2016 Word likha

Click here to learn more about this blogging challenge.

Today’s word is likha, which means to create something through intelligence and skill.  I am about the most egotistical person on the planet.  I often say, “I am good at what I do."  I often feel like what I create is through intelligence and skill.

I pat my own back.  However, often I feel like I am in over my head.  Like the time we remodeled our kitchen.  From the very beginning, I felt overwhelmed.  However, my beautiful child-bride Suzanne assured me each step of the way that I could do it.

We watched a lot of HGTV and DIY and felt better. The only problem is that there were times when Tim Taylor wanted to show up in my mind and reassure me that the word fiasco was invented just for me.

Recently, our headlight went out in our car.  In the old days, this was easy enough to fix.  Today, it can be overwhelming.  Fixing the headlight, coupled with the heat index in the 100s made for a very intimidating situation.

My beautiful child-bride Suzanne found several YouTube videos that helped.   We got it done.  Now, we feel much more intelligent than we did before, at least I do.

This August 18th, in honor of my child-bride Suzanne’s birthday, we will be giving all of our books away free.  Please download and read these books.  We have had to change the way we make money here since I suffered three strokes back in May.   We no longer sell Avon door-to door, but you can still buy it on our website at https://smcclendon.avonrepresentative.com.  You can also help us by purchasing things from our Etsy store.

Special Notice

You can help us by downloading our books free.  Then, read them.  Every quarter, Amazon has a contest to determine which 100 authors in the United States have the most pages read.  If we make it into the top 100, we will share a part in a pool of money Amazon sets aside for the top 100 authors.

Please also give us feedback on our books and leave your honest review at Amazon.  We thank you.

  1. I wonder if working in that heat is part of what led to the strokes. I hope not. Zoomie would feel bad if he thought he hurt Daddy. Love you.

  2. I love HGTV, but we never try to do anything as much as I would like that. My husband is more about the outside stuff.

    1. Back when I could do stuff like that, we found that one project led to about ten more. We also found that not one corner in any house we ever lived in was really square.

    1. Thank you for visiting. We have had a very interesting, and very difficult life. If we did not have each other and our young'ns, we would not have anything.
