1. I am most proud of all of our young 'uns.. We have four living children. Each one of them has their own special talents.
We have a submariner, an actress who still likes to play dress up and pretend to be a fairy or a power ranger.
We have a Marine who is a crack shot. He can shoot a target the size of a quarter 500 yards away.
We also have the baby. She has a unique take on life and is full of surprises.
2. I am embarrassed to admit this one is difficult to come up with. I don’t embarrass easily. One thing that could be embarrassing is that my youngest son once flipped me across the room.
This really isn’t embarrassing. He was demonstrating to his sisters how to protect themselves. I locked around his neck in my old security guard training mode and he could not break the hold in the traditional way.
His marine training kicked in. I don’t know what happened next. All I know is that in the blink of an eye I was flat on my back on the other side of the room. He was apologetic and upset that he had beaten me up. All I could say was, “We are pretending and doing this in slow motion."
3. My super-power might be___This is difficult to say. I can usually think of lots of things to write about. I guess my super power is the ability to bore one to death.
I like to write. One time, my father was backing a candidate for mayor. The mayor asked my father to write a speech for him. My father agreed, but did not have time.
He asked me, a college student, to write the speech. Later, the candidate’s opponent said, “I would have got elected if Bruce had written my speech.” I took that as a compliment. No one other than me, Suzanne, and my parents ever knew it was me.
4. I really wish I could _have a do over. If I could go back and not say the stupid things I have said, or do the stupid things I have done, I would like to fix them. However, we live life forward and try to learn from our mistakes.
Well friends, we are off to the island to get our baby. She will be home for a few weeks. While home she has been asked to guard some celebrities. Chances are good that, unless you are into the comics or fantasy “CON” network, you have never heard of these people. I know I haven’t.
The Marine will be in serious need of prayers for the next few months. We can’t say where he will be but he does need your prayers.
And, to our little aquatic feline friend, “Hang 20, dudette!”
Have a great week and catch you on the flip.

You aren't at all boring. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you my Zing.
DeleteYour children are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI want a do over too, but, like you said, we can't go back.
Hope you have a great weekend!
The only thing that would be a problem is the paradox of time. There are many things that happen in our life, good and bad, because of the decisions we make. What if we made a different decision that had a major change on some of the good things in our life even if the decision was a bad one?
DeleteThank you for participating, I enjoyed your answers. Your kids all sound wonderful. That is great that you can add speech writer to your list of talents. I like your #4, I think we all have some things we want a do over for. Have a nice weekend and enjoy your time with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. It is a shame we can't rewind our lives like we can rewind our DVDs. LOL.
DeletePeople who write well like this are never boring! You definitely have a family to be proud of! I love the idea of having a few do-overs in life so we could try to get it right, kind of like practice tests and finals! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Co overs would be nice as long as we did not wind up in a situation like Groundhogs Day.
DeleteI don't embarrass easily, either. I do admit things easily, though. You always have great answers. I like your easy way of writing.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to be late, again. I am a bit overwhelmed with life. Please be patient with me. Things will settle down. They always do.
